When we hear the word tasting, we immediately think of wine, but rarely of music. Yet, music and wine are savored in the same way—first with the heart, then with the mind—and share a common language. We talk about the structure of wine as we do a musical composition. Aromas for the palate are akin to the layers of polyphony for the ears; the balance of acidity and tannins creates sensations similar to the harmony of voices and timbres. And cork taint? It’s a bit like singing off-key!
We invite you to experience an extraordinary evening: a truly intertwined tasting where exceptional wines are paired with carefully crafted dishes by a chef and alternated with sacred musical pieces. Each wine and dish pairing is matched with a musical selection, drawing parallels between the textures of tannins and polyphony, the attack of wines and music, and the lasting impressions they leave on the palate and ears, engaging all the senses.
Both wine and music are enhanced by storytelling, which is why this guided tasting provides insights into the history, magic, and connections of each wine and musical piece. Attendees are guided through a discovery of their own sensations, accompanied by a tasting booklet to jot down notes, describe impressions, and sharpen their sensory perceptions. This booklet also serves as a cherished keepsake of this exceptional evening.
