Passionate about choral singing or a complete beginner? No matter your level, the Sportelle Workshops are made for you!

Come (re)discover the joy of singing in a choir by working on major pieces such as Schubert’s Mass in G Major, Allegri’s Miserere, and short sacred motets. Whether once a month or every week, develop your musical talent through our two programs.

Explore a Great Composer Over One Year
The 2025–2026 season will be dedicated to the German composer Franz Schubert. We’ll delve into the heart of Romantic music with his Mass in G Major. The program will also feature Allegri’s Miserere, to be performed in concert this December with Ensemble la Sportelle.

When and Where?
From October to June, singers meet one weekend per month at the Grand Couvent in Gramat. A concert will be held at Christmas and in June.

Weekend Content
Full ensemble and sectional rehearsals, music history, analysis, and vocal technique.

The Sacred Motet
In the context of the weekly sessions, we invite you to explore the sacred motet. These small pieces, spanning from the Renaissance to contemporary music, offer a rich and varied repertoire to delve into.

When and Where?
From November to June, singers gather every Tuesday during school terms, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Grand Couvent in Gramat. A concert will be held at Christmas and during the final weekend of June.

Throughout the year, professional musicians will lead you in both the Ateliers and the Rencontres. Their expertise brings invaluable contributions, combining extensive experience and musical knowledge to support your growth. With their guidance, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and refine your musical talent.

Fadi Khalil Choir Conductor (Monthly workshops)
Conductor, educator, music engraver, and graphic designer, Fadi Khalil has over twenty years of experience in the field of music.
He currently conducts the Chœur des Musicales du Liban in Paris and serves on the artistic committee of the festival. Since 2023, he has been Director of Studies at the Institut Philokalia and Artistic Director of the Dār Al Mīlād Festival. In Beirut, he also leads the youth orchestra of the El Sistema project, supported by the Beirut Chants Festival. From 2009 to 2024, he served as Deputy Director of the Choir and Music School at Notre-Dame University – Louaizé (NDU).

Marie-Josée Matar Vocal Technique (Monthly workshops)
A lyrical singer, Marie-Josée Matar began her vocal training at the National Conservatory of Lebanon at 16 before moving to Paris to advance her skills. Passionate about sacred music of all eras, she joined the Ensemble La Sportelle as a soprano in 2024.

Quentin Du Verdier Accompanist (monthly workshops)
A graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in organ, Quentin du Verdier performs nationally and internationally.Deeply committed to regional music development, he collaborates with the choir and youth ensemble of the Edmond Michelet School in Brive-la-Gaillarde.

Emmeran Rollin Professional Musician (Weekly gatherings)
With a dual career as a concert musician and cultural project director, Emmeran Rollin has been shaping the Rocamadour – Musique Sacrée project for a decade. He studied organ under masters such as Michel Bouvard, Éric Lebrun, Willem Jansen, and others, earning a Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel de Musicien (DNSPM) with honors.

We gather in a stunning and rejuvenating location: the Grand Couvent de Gramat, where we prepare for various concerts held during the year. These include a special performance on the final weekend of June in Rocamadour, alongside the singers of the Ensemble La Sportelle
